Exercise; congnitiva delay the decrease in the elderly.
A Studies show that exercise has benefits in reducing the rate of reduction in cognitive ability of elderly people, so when it comes to improving the mental abilities, it's never too late to start doing exercise.

In a new study, the elderly and sedentary, they started new exercise programs have slowed their rate of cognitive decline, especially in regard to the ability to process complex information quickly.
"Even if you have stopped exercising, he continues to return to benefit," says researcher Deborah E. Barnes of the University of California, San Francisco, as "The worst thing is to remain sedentary."
Other studies have shown that older adults who are physically active experienced a slow decline in their mental abilities, which range from his memories of reasoning in relation to the sedentary groups.
But most people, especially seniors, do not follow a pattern of exercise over time, for various reasons such as, illness or work commitments, thus leaving, says Barnes.
The researchers found that those who were sedentary in constantly had the worst outcomes in terms of their mental abilities, like memory, attention and problem solving, experiencing the most rapid rate of cognitive decline, "says Barnes.
It is not surprising that people whose levels of exercise was consistently reduced by a period of seven years the cognitive decline.
This is highly recommended that "sedentary people engage in physical activity at least occasionally" and "people who are active to maintain or increase their activity levels." Barnes said.
Studies on Alzheimer's have determined that: "Even a small amount of physical activity for 30 minutes a week of moderate exercise such as cycling, was associated with a lower risk of death in general," according to investigators.
